The Pro BAR File has always been free and available for all. It's in the first page of this thread. thanks
It's very sad man, they just don't let us enjoy our blackberry native apps

Can I get some suggestions from you guys what to do? Do you think I should just shutdown everything about Snap2Chat (Pro and Lite)? I'll keep the Pro BAR File forever free and available.
If you want to read the Full Take Down Request Email from SnapChat sent to BlackBerry please send me an email [email protected] and i'll send you a copy.
Thanks guys!
i would say keep the PRO version posted for free here, if they allow you to put it back up in blackberry world then take it down since it is available in blackberry world. just my two cents
If their issue is *only* with the name I think you can get away with just re-branding it. But if they're taking exception to the app as a whole, well then we've got a problem.
It's probably because he was charging for it. The lite version is still on BlackBerry world

I think snapchat wouldn't like the idea of you making profit off of it no? Wouldn't that be the reason they let you keep the lite version?

I'm not sure if they saw the Lite Version.
Well, I have a few questions. 1) was it a copyright issue? With the naming? Or was it because you were making revenue off of the snapchat servers?
2) why did BlackBerry have it as a featured app if they were going to take it down?
3) would you be able to upload it with a different name for free with a donation option?

PLease send me an email bro [email protected] you can read the whole reason why. thanks bro
Looks like their major complaint is that your name and logo resemble theirs. I think by simply changing the logo and name it will be accepted back into BlackBerry world.
I don't know why they didn't take down the lite version.... makes no sense..

Considering that the Lite version is still up, maybe they didn't want you monetizing the app?
They probably didn't even see the lite version but nem is in the re-branding phase and hopefully it will get accepted back in.

Yeah, that's a possibility as well. Glad to hear Nem's still trying, though the letter makes it seem like a little more than a branding issue, but let's hope for the best.
What if we have access to sandbox already. Do we still need to send the receipt???

Seems like name and logo...we shall see what happens :)

To be extremely honest here... Nem kinda f'ed up by telling them if he can do an app in the first place... but that's done so here is my real comment.
They are "mostly" complaining about Nem's use of the logos....
But reading down more they are also making some "light" fuss about the app itself... if I was you, I would first make the most changed you can to the name, logo and try to keep the description as vague as possible....
If you get a second notice, THEN completely take the app down and only provide it here in Crackberry.... But as stated above by another person, they are mostly fussing about Nem's use of the closely resembling name and the ghost.

While this is highly unlikely, maybe the reason they are just now fussing about the app is because they are releasing their own. It's been available for a while now and maybe they don't want any confusion when they release their own. Again...highly unlikely.

It's a shame too, because the ghost we have is such a better logo than they have. It's not worth getting into any legal hot water over though, but this is why many people wish that companies like snapchat would either develop for us or just stay the hell out of the way so someone else can.

I remember months ago that people were wondering how windows phone was getting away with paid apps for snapchat clients as well. For what it's worth they still have at least five apps with at least three of them priced at 0.99 or more. I wonder if those devs are facing this issue too or if BlackBerry is just big enough of a platform to want to stop development for but not big enough to want to produce for. Such a shame.

I just updated the Snap2Chat Lite to a Pro version called SnapShot... It will be completely free with all the features.. Thanks to all.
Cool. Can you let us know when it's up and running to download?
