Wow. Just Wow. Ya'll need to read what Nemory said. There is some maintenance work being done on his server, so he has not been able to push this update to the server. And he even wrote that the new version might not work properly till he has pushed the update.

I successfully downloaded the Snap2Chat_v0.8.96_10.0.bar and Snap2Chat_v0.8.96_10.2.bar files. Does that mean the update has been "pushed"? Well, neither version works on my phone; they auto-close shortly after I launch them. However, Snap2Chat_v0.8.95_10.2.bar works ok.

Once again, the update needs to be pushed SERVER side. Which is why 8.95 works fine and 8.96 does not. Developer has stated that there's an issue with service maintenance on the host side of things.

I apologize for my apparent ignorance, but I don't fully comprehend your explanation. In my mind, the SERVER provided the 8.96 update files that corresponded to the links that I clicked. Are you saying that the update was not really on the SERVER, so it delivered bogus files to me?

The server did not provide you with the update. The updated program file was downloaded by you from a link provided by the developer, in this case he used dropbox. Now for the reasons nemory posted previously, the developers servers are not interacting with the newest version (which is what you downloaded- the program files only) properly. This explains why my snap2chat app works perfect because I'm still on a version of the app itself (8.95) that communicates with the developers servers properly..

This is my understanding of it, but then again I am not a developer so somebody please correct me if I'm wrong. I usually don't post unless I know somewhat what im talking about :P

Just a bugreport (or might be something wrong with me). I have now gotten 6 video snaps since i downloaded the 8.95 beta. None of those 6 videos has worked. Had to log into the sideloaded version to watch those. Dont know if thats how its supposed to be, but thats what im experiencing.

I've fixed all the videos that doesn't load.. it's a server side fix.. so all previous version will benefit.. I hope you can test it guys!!

The one's you can't play before are videos that have captions.. but you 0.8.95 and below users will not see any captions in the video yet. only for 0.9 users.

What? Yes you can see captions. I'm on 0.8.95 and my friend sent me a video with a caption and it plays and the caption shows.

I just downloaded snap2chat and want to use it as my main snapchat application but I'm having issues with the fact that it wont load people/snaps or anything. Its just a blank screen with the folders around it like stories, feed etc.. Is this part of the server issue that people have been talking about? Any ideas on when it should be rectified? If not, any ideas?

The servers for the newest update you downloaded are not working. Nem0ry is working on the issue, so for now, the newest version does not work. Once he fixes the server, you will be good to go. No time table yet because he is working on another important side project that has a deadline. Skip back a few pages, it gives you some more info.

Yes ALL of that.. I've even tried staying off of it for an entire day and still nothing..!? It's actually been this way for the last 3 days I just thought I'd be patient with it.

Was on snap2chat and my phone restarted and i had no other apps running Idk if anyone has had that problem or not. After clicking on the snap the notification within the app doesn't always go away right away. In my opinion, opening the snaps take too long compared to the original snapchat. But on the bright side I sent a snap and rotated the text box and I got one back asking how I did that and I proudly said I use snap2chat! So you got some people jealous out there nem.. keep up the good work and I hope you keep building on this app

Snap2Chat Video Player looks buggy now. But much better than previous that makes it looks stretched,., I suggest you use BB10 Video Player in settings.
