For the first time I started to see the message saying I didn't have an Internet connection, it would pop up every time I opened the app and would stop notifications from coming in even though the app was running in the background. Quick uninstall-double volume button reset-reinstall fixed the problem.

For what it's worth, does everybody know that if you do the double button reset with the display off it doesn't take a screenshot? I meant to share that a long time ago. The volume button reset is my favorite method, but not having to delete an unwanted screenshot makes the method even better!

If you have to uninstall, do it through device monitor. I forgot to mention that.

Is there really a difference uninstalling by tapping the app icon and by doing it through device monitor?

Yes. Deleting the icon will remove the app but can leave background files behind. Deleting through device monitor will remove all files associated with the app which is exactly what you want when you're looking for a clean slate.

I honestly think it's all the same. Unless someone comes up with actual facts stating it isn't. So far I've only seen people claiming it is different but no factual proof.

It's possible the effect on native apps is minimal or even non-existent. Where I think it can make a difference is with android apps. But again, feel free to delete however you see fit and feel most comfortable with. If one method doesn't solve the problem you at least have a second option.

Feeds don't clear. # of best friends wont change. Internet connection message keeps popping up. Crash issue happens at about 130mb of cache - any word of an auto clear cache?

What's in the works for the next update!?

Please drop what you are doing in other apps and work on the crashing issue Nem, hundreds if not thousands have downloaded and paid for a WORKING app.

The app simply does not work it constantly crashes on start up all the time

I'm not asking for chat or other features, i just want the basic app to actually work, as do many others

Agreed. Works for me. Still a few bugs that need to be fixed though.

    Bug:
If app is not open and I open it from a notification app will start, show splash screen (ghost guy) then the app will crash/close.

App can be opened normally just not from notifications.

The only time it ever crashes for me is when trying to send a snap after I have already sent a snap. As long as I close and reopen the app between snaps it never crashes so it's not a big deal here.

It used to crash for me but ever so often i clear my cache and make sure that file picker and picture previewer is not running in the device monitor. Doesnt crash as much any more.

    temporary fix i guess.

My app has been crashing, it's signed me out twice (when I know I didn't sign out and no one knows my password) and I constantly get the connection issue pop up. Anytime I use the app I see it

Yes, I haven't had any crashes with this update but it has given me the "no internet connection" message more often than not. It seems like it takes a second or two longer to generate my feed, so possibly that's what is causing the error message? When that initial pop up does show, my feeds almost instantly follow it and I can send, receive and view stories without any problems.
