Are you using the snap2chat video viewer in the settings? I had some issues like that so I switched to the BB10 viewer, now the caption shows up first, then gets covered by the video when it plays but I don't have problems playing the videos now.

BackUp Cache Option in Advanced Settings
Extended Camera Pre-Initialization

I found out that if a lot of work is done during start up it can crash the app so I extended pre-camera initialization, doesn't make a big difference to the end user

Feel free to let me know how it goes here. Please hopefully the CRASH is gone.

I have tried playing around with the video quality but really no luck, if only snapchat allows like up to 3MB I can make it good. I can only make it good through like 2MB.

Why not get rid of that intensive splash screen we first see. Maybe somehow it can be causing a problem even though it doesn't repeat after you logged in

the splash screen doesn't hurt, it's just an image and it's well optimized by blackberry and we have nothing to do to take off a splash, we can take off the splash image but still there will always be a splash screen and the splash screen will have nothing to do with the crash bug. it's actually the camera api im using that's so heavy that causes the crash

Headless notifications for runninh and stopped has been removed in 2.2.3+. Better update. And uninstall first before installing,

I only get it when the phone powers down. I just tap the notification and open snap2chat from it, then once the app has finished loading I just close it. Sometimes I drag to refresh while in the app. Usually I get another one right away saying headless is running in the background but you can always check the app in device monitor to make sure it's active while closed if you don't get that second notification.

Your version in beta zone is still at 2.2 and not 2.3 yet by the way. And also it says 2.2.401.1. It should probably say 2.2.4.1

Latest version much faster boot time but now it will freeze>crash after every 1 snap sent, so I can't send two snaps in a row without closing and reopening apps (and btw is there a way to keep the camera view after closing and reopening app i.e front facing vs back facing)
