Surprised to see there is no Wimbledon app for BlackBerry. Only for iOS and android.

Downloaded the android app and it drains the battery so much..had to delete it..it sets about 25%of my battery and crashes all the time

Same during french open..no app for BlackBerry

As I did for the fifia-world cup...
Go to the official page in the browser, the mobile page is okay, create a shortcut on the homescreen (give it a shorter name)... you get an icon, it is like an App:

    Thanks. That's what I did

But it's frustrating to see no one is making dedicated apps for BlackBerry anymore

You're right... And Android Apps are not always an alternative... I prefer not running Android Apps! Either I find a native BB-App, or I resign :-/

BTW, How do you get a clean looking app page? Have you moved all your apps to second page?

Well, now you asked, here's a screen shot from my first pages:
1st page is my most used Apps.
2nd page, I put all system apps that came with the phone into folders, by category. Besides, some games and webshortcuts in folders, as well as some not so often used Apps.
Then I have some pages for my hobbys (instead of a folder, I just moved the apps to a new page)... for you, I moved the Wimbledon shortcut to a new page to "make it clear/clean" as you said ;-)
Moving Apps into folders is simple: just put an icon on another and a folder is created (rename it on the creation moment)... then you can put further icons in it by moving the icons to the folder. Moving an App to a new screen, simply longpress an icon and don't let go, move it to the right edge of the screen, a new App-screen is created, even if the previous screen is not full... I have 8 App screens in total:

Here's an extended Folder-view of my 3 folders of the 2nd App page:

    No Wimbledon app?-img_20140626_041950.png

    No Wimbledon app?-img_20140626_041956.png

    No Wimbledon app?-img_20140626_042000.png

Notice that a folder is "place sparing" coz it can contain same number of icons like an App-screen.

Moving an icon out from a folder is also simple: just log press in the folder and the bottom is highligted... move App/icon to the bottom and it is out of the folder (not deleted, just out!):

    I just caught this thread.

I know a little late to the game but I am in the process of developing a native BlackBerry 10 app for Wimbledon.

I am currently implementing live streaming capabilities for audio (radio) and video.

I'm putting a lot of work into this myself like updating the file every day to provide users with the end results of each game played.

Grand Slam events like Wimbledon are not featured on this app. The app just opens the mobile Wimbledon web page.

Currently I have all of the fixtures, live streaming (video & audio), news as well as calendar and BBM integration. I have added the ability to check live scores (through the Wimbledon website) and then at the end of each game or at the end of the day, I'll update the fixtures on my server and add the results for each game.

I'm currently working on the settings to show today's fixtures instead of all fixtures when the app is opened.

Are there any other features you'd like to see added?
