I've just discovered that the LCBO (Liquor Control Board of Ontario) only has an app for iPhone. How can this be? They are a Canadian corporation, which is in fact owned by the the Ontario Government and therefore the tax payers of the province. Their clientele is almost exclusively Canadian. How can they not have an app for BlackBerry?

The LCBO will never see another dime from me. Period.

Only beer is cheaper in PQ. Wine and spirits are more expensive.

PS. The SAQ (Quebec Liquor Commission) doesn't have a BlackBerry App either, so we'll need to boycott them too.

Boycotting for apps is dumb. A massive spike of emails to the developer is what people should do. But they don't...

Yes, they are. I think we need to give them some grace period to release one.

Westjet look at the bottom line, just the way we do as consumers. Even if the LCBO wasn't a monopoly, I would still buy from them if it was in my financial interest to do so. So for example if they had a product at a lower price. So with both Westjet and the LCBO, or any other Canadian company I'll buy from them if they have the best price.

Westjet are just doing the same thing with their app. They've simply decided that it makes the most financial sense to release Android and iOS first.

If we try to boycott all the Canadian companies that don't have a BlackBerry app we're in a lot of trouble.
