Interesting you say that, because I don't leave it open as an active frame most of the time. It's also happened when I've had other apps open in active frame but Blaq closed. The only way I can seemingly prevent it from happening is having only BBM running in active frame.

I myself wouldn't like to keep it as an active frame, waiting for the update to get it resolved.
Haven't had any issues of Blaq closing by itself. Maybe try reinstalling the app?

I have that problem with power hungry apps, bb10 has a task manager that kills apps that are running in the background sucking a lit of energy. That's the only reason I could find for it. It only happens to me with games and things like that. I doubt it's the apps fault unless there's a few that aren't optimized to run as an active frame so they crash?

I haven't tried blaq, but I lime neatly. I do wish it was faster though. From what I understand they are working on it.

That's because while the app is open it is Streaming the feed, and on 4G as well where as most clients need wifi to do that

I agree with you there I love Blaq just can't get the notification to come to it while it's active.. twitter still picks it up even when turned off.

Just downloaded Blaq and I have to say I agree with most that the UI is much better and that it loads faster than Neatly.

The new neatly app is still just as slow to load up and now it stutters when you scroll as well, blaq is definitely the winner here.

Neatly has become so much slower since the upgrade that it's no longer useable. It has some features I really like, but what's the point if you can't use them!

This can't come soon enough. I do not open Neatly anymore because there's just no point to a twitter app that's slow. It's like putting a segway on the Nurburgring and trying to get around. Web Twitter until it gets updated, or I get fed up and buy another twitter client :\

Neatly was the 1st and only app I paid for.(On recommendation)
Hugely disappointed with Neatly as a paid app. So much so that I am averse to downloading any more paid apps.

It doesnt:
1. Show RTs of your tweets and how many people RTd it like the native twitter app.
2. Shrink URL, which even a free ubersocial app on old BB Bold can do.
3. Doesnt auto-update
4. And the WORST of all, doesn't have "share" option from the browser to share links.

I can't lie I prefer Neatly for the UI but the last update made it really frustrating to use so I jumped on Blaq.
The only thing missing on Blaq (that Neatly have) is the ability to add someone on one of my list.

neatly has a better looking feed. The picture previews on blaq are useless. Everything seems out of scale. when I scroll through my eye catches the avatars more then the content. And the dull colors of blaq arent as good as the vibrant ones on neatly. Dull colors are a waste for such a nice screen. Ironically neatly used to have those small picture previews but they moved past this. I didn't realize untill I re-installed it to compare it with blaq. Blaq does seem faster, and I like the live streaming and the menus. Plus its incorporated into the share functions of BB10.

I dunno, tough choice. I might switch back and forth. I really hope blaq improves the look of there feed.

I purchased black and neatly but I prefer the native twitter app so I uninstalled both.

BBM rocks, WhatsApp sucks!
