I wrote the developer about this several years ago. He replied that after the paid apps were withdrawn from BB World, he would make Playepub free for everyone, which he did. I'll write him again and ask if he'll release the .bar file. It's worth a try.

That's all good and well, dudes, but you just cannot install apps in safe mode on Windows.

I've still hard to understand your problem. You ask for bar-files, which I suppose mean you can install them on your phone?

The update for BBW can be updated via a bar-file, you find it, and a link, in the document that @conite shared.

However, if you can't install bar-files, then maybe download chrome browser for your mac and install bars via the playbook extension on chrome. You must set your phone in development mode.

Non BlackBerry accounts should not be affected it is the BlackBerry accounts that are shutting down
