My Email to Amazon
To whom it may concern,
I am writing this letter in hope that it reaches through the correct channels for a resolution.
I'm aware that there is little to no support for Blackberry devices from amazon.
On the old "legacy" devices OS7 and below, Your app was available in its most basic form.
You could only purchase music and would have no cloud access.
This is a gap that I and many feel should be resolved.
The technology: hardware and software may not be available for the older "legacy" devices running os7, But it is surely available for the new BB10 and Playbook platform
Right now there is a way for it to work on phones such as the Q5,Q10,Z10 and Z30 all running BB10 as well as The Playbook.
It is possible for those that own these devices to sideload and Android version of the app.
It works but is glitchy at best with the most common error of "no internet connection" happening.
Even with full phone signal and wifi this error still appears.
This is a void in the market for Blackberry users.
There are no app options for music purchase and storage as an all in one service.
I believe if you would employ or reassign some of your developers to tweak the Android port/version of the app to make a BB10 native app you would have a market ripe for the picking.
A sole supplier of music purchases and storage.
While Blackberry is a small market,We are still a market that has potential to grow.
Multiple users have contacted you in various ways before on this issue,But we have yet to see a resolution for it.
We received a somewhat canned answer along the lines of,
Thank you for contacting us on this issue. We will forward it to the MP3 team for consideration. If you need more assistance with any issue contact.....
I do not mean that in an insulting way at all
I apologize for the long read and hope to receive a positive outcome on the matter.
Thank you for your time and assistance

Yes. The more native apps the better.
-
I guess no one cares about the integration of this app then.
Unless there is another unknown to me way of getting this done without transfering all purchases yourself to another BB10 accessible cloud service
-
Well the majority so far has voted yes on the poll, so people do care.
Problem is that not a lot I guess cares about it, which kind of sucks that it's hard to get people with the same device to help each other out by getting what we all want, more apps.
As for the music transfer, the only way I know to do this, is to get the Amazon mp3 cloud service on your PC and then download all the songs. After that you should be able to plug in your BB device and copy all the songs to it. But, yes a native app would still be better as then you can purchase from there directly on the phone, instead of either going to BB music or dealing with the website.
We will have to continue to send e-mail to them about bringing Amazon apps in general to BB 10 as it is a great OS and does have a big community.
I think in time we will get what we want. It just won't happen anytime soon as it does take a while to develop.

Amazon has not designed a native app for BlackBerry in roughly four years. I would be shocked if they changed course now, with BlackBerry's market share at a historical nadir.
-
I guess someone, somewhere and somehow got through to them.

A case of "careful what you wish for" lol!! Who knows, perhaps it has contributed to the entire thing.... I am ecstatic about the Amazon/BlackBerry announcement.
