Google play music. It'll work with some of your android side loaded apps.

    Neutron, it's da bomb!
BTW, i recently bought a FiiO X5 digital music player, audiophile grade, much expensive, yadda yadda ... Neutron + Playbook sounds just as good. Neutron + Z10 is little different, down by not that much.

Finally ended up with Neutron. Neutron is the overkill but works absolutely fine.

I tried a lot, especially I wanted to have a simple, folder based player because all MP3 tag based players have similar problems of inconsistent or missing tags. There are some Android ports but I didn't find something useful. Many of them didn't play my files (OGG, or even MP3) while the builtin BB player did.

Z10 = 1hr on the Battery when 64bit processing is enabled lol, yes I benchmarked it.

I sideloaded DSP manager (a must have app for any android device) onto the z10 and it doesn't work, so my questions are:

does Neutron compress the audio output for the headset/speaker/bluetooth? are there other music players that do that?

Hmmm, I used to have the 64 bit setting on all the time and certainly got more than an hour out of playback. I'm sjre it will affect battery life as it is using more processing power though.
And I say "used to" because after reading up on the subject, 64 bit is unnecessary for most music files since it is only upconverting info that isn't there on lesser bitrates.
PS: having the 64 bit setting off also gets you more processor power for the DSP, which tends to deteriorate with load.
