I am now officially ashamed of BlackBerry World.

Pick a stance, either anything goes in, and you have to request permission for long running headless.

Or curate, and get rid of garbage.

The are just How-To apps about "The App" and nothing more. With an unsuspected user they would think it is a "real" app eg: Viber but it is not.

I highly doubted that BlackBerry will do anything. I see two or three new "Apps for Viber" popup every week.

Agree, it is an embarrassment.

I know workforce is reduced and it's a team in Indonesia approving apps mostly, but would it be so difficult for a manager in Canada to give a final once-over and cut out this garbage?

These "apps" are just scams. I won't be surprised if quite a few of them are actually malwares with hidden payloads. Just more BlackBerry sadness, nothing new.

That happens in every app store not only BlackBerry. I've seen it tons of times in Google play and it's really annoying. I know for a fact that Google responds to these type of things quick, let's see about BlackBerry

This is not in any way close to Google Play. If blackberry could deny Snap2Chat and yet allow "App for SnapChat" then there's absolutely something wrong with the process of App scrutiny and acceptance into BBWORLD.

This needs the immediate attention of BlackBerry.

Thanks for posting this. I've always believed that by allowing this sort of stuff into BBW BlackBerry was risking losing loyal customers and this is proof. BlackBerry needs to address this issue asap.

The other problem with BBWorld will be that these negative (and informative) reviews will most likely be removed by the Developer. BBworld allows the developer to basically control what remains in the Reviews.

I'd rather see S4BB flood our Market Place than these developers. At least S4BB 's app Spam has USEFUL apps!

Since BlackBerry World has been polluted with apps like these, whenever you look at an app to either download for free or purchase, I suppose always look for Built for BlackBerry designation. Unless...of course the sacred BFB designation has been compromised too. If the app does not carry BFB and there is doubt over the publisher of the app, ask around first on CB forums just to be safe.
