Notifications have always been a problem. The chat loads really slow and also pictures and emojis are very hard to send. There's also a group chat that won't give any notifications at all. It is not muted.

I have respect for how complex the situation must be for the developer, but I paid for the app to support them in continuing to develop for BB10. What's the point if none of the applications reach a finished state?

I like the way you put it. It is important to appreciate the work that has already been done. But as a software developer I know about the 80/20 rule, and I guess so does Nemory.

There is no point in doing the easy part and then developing new apps instead of finishing already released products.

Indeed.. I sent a very large email where I explained everything wrong with his apps. I told him every little bug that I know. The only answer I got was: restart phone and reinstall the app, like what??

Yes, make sure you delete the hub notification after you've dealt with it. Keep the hub clean and notifications will continue to work.

I got an email from you guys early this morning that the fix would be ready in 24-48 hours. I checked BBRY World and there doesn't seem to be a Messenger Pro update.

ETA: The fix doesn't show up as an "automatic" update among the list of updated apps. I had to search for Messenger in BBRY World and then do the update that way.

Yes, I think we've all just had enough of this nonsense now. Forget the money spent on both apps and move on. Let's just hope that Canadainc can provide us with a Facebook app that actually works.

OK, I thought it was just me <sigh of relief>. I uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled a number of times and still no notifications <sigh>. I guess it must be really difficult, if not impossible, to develop Facebook/Messenger apps that work efficiently as they should on this platform.

Facebook isn't making it easier either with changing API's every now and then and dropping the 3rd party Messenger API in favor of their own Messenger app...
