    Since I recently bought my BB 10 device, I've been wondering - how do I check for app updates? Will the app world application notify me when I open it? The software update app seems to be concerned with OS updates only, correct?

    App World does notify you.

    If you want to manually check for updates go to App World>My World> My Apps and Games > Check for Updates.
