Is there an app in BlackBerry World that can create live photos or cinemagraphs that are a photo with a small piece of motion?

Flixel and echograph are examples for the iPhone.

Use the Story Maker app. You already have it installed.

Story Maker doesn't have this function?

I have found an app on the amazon app store called fotodanz that does what I want but would prefer a native solution.

Please can you explain how as I only got an option to create a slide show type project, there was no option to just animate a single area of video on a still photo?

Can you confirm the permissions it asks for from the amazon appstore if you downloaded it from there? Thanks.

Very interesting looking app - well, the output looks interesting.

It wants mother's maiden name, first born child as well as

    Camera
    Shared files

    Those kind of make sense.

(sheesh, it does not want location info!!! A rarity)

Thanks, those permissions sound ok, I assume with the whole maiden name thing you need to set up an account then? It is a rare treat when android doesn't care where you are :-)

Oh, I was kidding about the :"maiden name" thing but I did not run it. Now I see you need an account - what for?

Doesn't sound like we will get this running then, I will try contacting the developer.

Well, I fired it up, did NOT register and shot a "video" or GIF, actually. I was able to share it via email. Seems to work although I did get a few of those "app stopped working" but pressed OKAY and it proceeded to create the gif file.

Can we upload gif files? Yes, we can. If you look at the left edge of the TV, you can see that I missed that edge when circling the "movie" portion. And I purposely moved the camera a bit so that I could see if it only "animated" only a portion of the image. It appears to work. Pretty nifty!

    edited to add:

    The files are stored:

    \media\photos\fotodanz

They are not stored in the usual misc folder where many android apps seem to store data.

That sounds great if you don't have to register, I think I will give it a go.

Let us know. I don't know if there will be some limit or what/why registration is involved.

It asked for quite a few permissions like most of these apps from Snap and Amazon do.
I downloaded it from Snap, I skipped registration and was able to draw a red line around the area of the shot I wanted to be in motion.

After that one picture the novelty wore off and I deleted the app from my Q10.

Thanks. I have tried it on an android phone and it isn't implemented as well as flixel which is much smoother.
