(List) BB10 paid apps going free By FileArchiveHaven before April 1st
- Hi All,
As I'm sure you know by now, BlackBerry is disabling any paid apps still in the store as of April 1st. Developers have the choice of discontinuing their applications, or going through them and marking them as free.
In preparation of this, I decided to make all our apps free before the end of the month! However, it is also difficult to find apps that have changed from paid to free, and I thought a post could come in handy.
So, if you are another developer who's apps have gone free --- please post here and I'll make sure to bump your app list up!
Without further ado, the FileArchveHaven library goes free:
These are given as a thank you. But if you are feeling like donating, it comes with a million thank yous here is a PayPal link. This goes towards our VR / AR game company called Red Iron Labs.
You can also install a bunch of free / raw unreleased projects (BAR files) from me here for beta kinda complete applications.

Totally awesome of you and the others, who have been so dedicated making apps for BB10, and now offering them free to those who continue using it.03-19-18 10:52 PMLike 2 -
I would be lying if I didn't say this is a bit emotional for me. The support on here has always been incredible, and is one of the most powerful forum communities I've ever been apart of. I love how even through a big change like this, CB remains a safe haven home to all fans.03-19-18 11:02 PMLike 3 -
- So incredibly true and well said, old friend. For me more family than most, but for oh so many, family indeed. There are folks I've enjoyed here on the forum for a decade. Many who have come and gone I miss terribly. Those I've had on BBM for what seems forever. Those I've met...too many to count. The group I've maintained since the day that feature was added to BBM. Most importantly, the woman I knew here from almost my joining this wonderful community, who grew to become my closest friend, and after 7 years sharing a roof, finally my wife. Family indeed!
People wonder what will happen to CrackBerry, now that BlackBerry has gone GooBerry. They haven't been here long enough to understand. It's not about the phones. That's not what makes CrackBerry so special at all.KermEd likes this.03-19-18 11:24 PMLike 1 -

I never heard about how you met your wife before that's an amazing story. And it's so true that CB has always been a community first then focused around technology. The place will change, the focus will change but I'm hoping the community stays together as much as possible it looks like Android is getting adopted well, so it's a very real possibility of it settling in right...BigBadWulf likes this.03-20-18 11:40 AMLike 1 - Hubby: https://appworld.blackberry.com/webs...ntent/59998023

- What kind of support? Wasn't the support enough till the date and even as a company blackberry itself doesn't support them.
Blackberry itself has become cheap and there os isn't in development and supporting developers what kind of app we get after all these.

... Because they work fine, so I haven't needed to but this is that guys work and he does deserve a dollar or two for it. Reality is, if he hadn't posted it free by now, it's probably isn't going to happen.BigBadWulf likes this.03-21-18 12:55 PMLike 1 - Well this went sour quickly.
BlackBerry shafted developers, I can understand you grumbling if the app is removed from your purchased apps list but expecting developers to offer their work for free because you have an issue with BlackBerry is cheeky.
I feel like there is a need for a well maintained thread of apps that developers have gifted to the community, it would be sad to see it be derailed.
Developers could benefit from offering their apps for free, users will be more likely to use their apps on other platforms. That doesn't mean you should expect the change, and the point that if you want the app then buy the app stands true, you might be disappointed otherwise (especially if the developer is reading this thread!).
