Recently (the last week or so) I have had issues with LinkedIn on Q10SQN100-1/

    LinkedIn with two-step authentication-img_20140816_100215.png

I wiped my device and reinstalled and shortly afterwards this started.

Previously, I used my password plus the six digit number I received via SMS from LinkedIn, as the password.

I do this now, and it accepts it. But later (a day?) it complains as above.

There does not appear to be a way to create application specific passwords in LinkedIn's account system.

Any ideas? It is baffling why it suddenly started now, after working flawlessly for six months or more.

My issue lately is that I don't receive personal updates. The new connections, new positions, anniversary, etc. Getting new postings which mostly are jobs. Anyone have an idea how to go back to all the notifications?

I ended up turning off 2FA while I wait for a fix.

It's the two-factor authentication that is causing the problem.

Since BlackBerry account configuration doesn't understand two-step authentication, LinkedIn has a so-so fix in place. Instead of just using password, you use password plus the two step code you'll get via SMS:

    Like that.

The problem is that later on, it appears that the BlackBerry device checks the account, and since the six digit code is no longer valid, authentication fails.

Well, and this morning my Q10 throws the same error. So it's not caused by 2FA. Sigh. Now I'm at a loss.
