    After re installing kindle 3 times because of the bug that sets your screen constantly at 100% brightness, finally found the solution : brightness can be adjusted by swiping down with 2 fingers in the center of the screen.

    Maybe not so solved. Had it go full bright on me last night and the two finger swipe did nothing. Had to reinstall.
