I want to buy Blackgram as I think it's useful. It looks good to, probably offers a more classic instagram experience but I refuse to pay for it as it goes against my principles atm trying to save money on u necessary purchases

Sideload the iGrann beta. It's free and will always be free. Plus, it's written in native Cascades and connects directly to Instagram's servers, unlike BlackGram.

Yes I have done and I live igrann but Blackgram looks good for the classic instagram experience. Both should target their niche and enrich it. Would be good if Blackgram did go direct. I love igrann and it's black modern theme.

After reading maybe 1.3 of this mostly negative thread, I only have one comment or question--mostly to remind others..why didn't you just sideload the newest Android version along with the debug token (only way it works well) and enjoy the real thing. Why all this haggling about this app? No answer necessary.

Just another case of a bunch of people spouting out when they have no idea what they are talking about. The app was blocked... The app was shut down...
Reminds me of the "xBBM was cancelled" crowd - who claimed to have heard from "numerous sources" that BBM cross platform was cancelled and would not be coming. There are far to many examples of such in Crackberry these days. Theories stated as if they are fact. So many people who act like they know everything (many of whom get insulting if you doubt them) and yet so wrong.

Anything can happen down the road, obviously, but Blackgram clearly has not yet been blocked or shut down.

This app is not Cascades. Seems to be built with HTML5... Cool for some, but I'd prefer iGrann's since it is built in Cascades.

I downloaded Black Grammy today. It worked fine for me and I did not have any issues logging in, commenting or any of the other main Instagram functionalities. It does the job for me.
