Download the extension which is called "playbook app manager" in the chrome browser. Then, use that extension to install bar files wirelessly to ur device. Can't be easier.

If you are going to install Instagram you should install InstaSize as well. It makes your pictures the right aspect ratio to load on InstaGram and it even automatically brings them over to InstaGram once it does it's part. I dealt with the keyboard issue by inputting text into another app (like Remember) and then pasting it into the input field in instagram.

I just side loaded the Google keyboard and it works fine.

Everyone go get the 10.2.1.1055 and just install your bar file, ONE bar file. NO NEED for TWO IG's on your phone. And go the www.igrann.com and download the beta(2) and enjoy the IG Client that has been created..

Hey OP, don't mean to hijack the thread. But it seems that some people either overlooked the fact that this step requires 10.2. Most likely, those who are not able to get it to work are still on 10.1. So I think I can help.

For those that are on OS 10.1, use this method that I'm saying. It works best with the Google Chrome extension, so I cannot confirm with DDPB. So just use the Google Chrome extension.

Just follow these steps and it should work. I can vouch for it cause I used it and it worked. Yes, I have recently gone back to my official 10.1 MR.

DO NOT CONFUSE THESE STEPS WITH THE STEPS THAT THE OP MENTIONED. THEY ARE SIMILAR, BUT NOT THE SAME.

Here's the old bar that used to work.

Follow these steps,
- sideload new version first. It'll say incompatible device.
- sideload the older version. Open, but Don't sign in.
- uninstall the newer version that you sideloaded first.
- install the newer version again.

The newer version should now work, including video playback. But if I'm not wrong you can't post videos unless you use some sort of work around again. And commenting on photos, the keyboard doesn't insert spacing.

For normal images POSTING and browsing, it should work just FINE.

Oh, and hide the old Instagram app somewhere and DO NOT delete it. Or the newer version would stop working.

Do note that this process is only for 10.1. I tried it on 10.2 and it didn't work, its the same process in a nutshell but slightly different procedure

Make sure you take note which bar file is the newer version and which is the older one. If you don't follow the steps I stated, it will not work. Hope this helped! Enjoy Instagram

Try to use the latest OS, the latest version can run the android .apk installation package directly on your device. So you probably don't need this way to load the instagram, simply download the instagram.apk and install it.

Hello everyone, I just recently switched from a blackberry Z10 to a Q10. I installed instagram on my Z10 via instagram.bar and it worked great. After switching to my blackberry Q10, I installed software update 10.1.0.2030 and now I can no longer use the app. I've tried all different bar files, and although i can download the app, every time I go to open it, it immediately crashes and isn't functional. If someone could please lead me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Just used the 10.1 workaround on my Q10. Works great! I don't seem to have the spacebar issue, which is nice.

But I do see a message that I can ~~now send photo and video messages~ and that I should update the app. ???
