True... but how do you know which type is being sent to your device? ..... just have to take his word for it huh?

    Posted via CB10
Usually no one asks. But I'd imagine you can't check as end user which type it is. In the end it doesn't really matter since both use your bandwidth.

@Nemory: Research? Really? Says the guy that "didn't know" his apps contained request to his own site/server...
Not to mention someone who didn't know that FB and Twitter use httpS. And didn't know some services he uses are made with http.
I don't get it. Why don't you admit the apps have issues and provide proof of the fix. (that blog post of yours is trying a bit to hard to pass the blame to other parties and some statements contradict others that you made on CB and Twitter - as mentioned here already)

Of course I blame them too, they're the ones provided it without security. I didn't. And its not only my apps uses those services

Some fb and twitter request I believe will work without using https and just http.

Just got an email saying my account was suspended. Not a big deal for me as I bought it mainly to help someone who is actively trying to bring wanted apps into the ecosystem. But people do need to be aware that this app won't work long term by design from Snap Chat.

Can you screen shot the email? (if you can avoid releasing personally identifiable information) Some people don't believe that snap chat is doing this.

There's an entire thread of people who received this email, screenshots included: http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...ations-994154/

Snap10, by the way, appears to have been pulled from BlackBerry World - no longer appears in searches, and selecting it in my list of available apps throws an error (Requested content not found).

I think in order to avoid the email you have to have a patch version of google play services from cobalt on your device. Apparently google play services is a big issue now

    Party's over kids.

    Blackberry World refund request form:

    https://consumersupport.webapps.blac...rce/main?ln=en

I suggest users do it sooner rather than later - Nemory's gonna be paying out a lot of refunds.

Let's keep it on topic please.

Play Nice, Be Helpful, and have Respect!
This means keep the language clean, keep your posts polite, and don’t get into arguments over dumb things. If somebody responds to a thread you posted in poor fashion, ignore it, and the moderation team will quickly clean it up (you can always message or email a moderator at any time if you observe anything that is in poor taste/against the rules). Think back to what your parentals and teachers used to lecture - if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all.
Always remember that we are all unique and at different levels here - some of us are experienced BlackBerry users and forum junkies, while others are just starting out. If you’re on the experienced side, have patience for those just joining in on the fun and be helpful. With a little patience and a little help they won’t be newbies for long. Also remember that it is our differences that keeps this place interesting. If everyone was from the same place and at the same experience level it would be boring. This is a worldwide community united by a common interest - our love, or addiction as some would call it, for the BlackBerry!

I am not going to ask for a refund. I have enjoyed the app enough for the low cost to be completely justified.
