I successfully deleted Facebook and removed it from the Hub. Just deleted Twitter but it still shows up in the Hub. Any ideas on how to get rid of it would be appreciated.

Twitter in the Hub is actually handled independently from the Twitter app itself.

From Hub or home screens, swipe down from top and select Settings.
    Scroll down to Accounts.
Tap your Twitter account, then tap Delete in bottom bar.

You can also just stop Twitter from appearing in main Hub view without deleting the account in the Hub Settings, which is accessed by hitting overflow menu (3 dots) in Hub.
Then in Hub Management, toggle Twitter to Off. That way your account is still available in Hub menu should you ever want access.
