All I want in the hub from Facebook are messages, but this doesn't appear to be possible. When I turn off notifications in Accounts, once I open the FB app then the notifications all come flooding into the Hub.

    Any ideas?

accounts -> Facebook -> messages off, notifications off, Sync events off
hub settings: show only in: seperated account

How does turning messages off allow you see messages in the hub?

The problem is that if you leave on messages and turn off notifications, you still get notifications in the hub after you open the fb app

One option is to forgo push notifications entirely and receive your Facebook messages by email.

True, it would be a pity to lose fb chat in the hub though. What's annoying is that the feature is actually there but just doesn't seem to work?

easiest way to do it....install the android file manager app Ghost Commander...

Find your facebook app in ghost commander....select Manage.

    Unhighlight show notifications...

no more notifications for FB will show up in your hub.

I use this for all the random stuff like TTorrent Pro, Aptoide etc...

Works flawlessly with any app installed.

But what he wants is to turn off fb notifications without turning off facebook messages notifications. I think the solution should be installing a 3rd party messenger app for FB but unfortunately there is none that can do said job properly at the moment.

Yep, that's it exactly. Bug in BB10 OS given that it actually gives you the option to do it, but it doesn't work.

I wonder is it fixed in 10.3? Hmmm

    Hey everyone,
I have BB Q10, running 10.3.1.1779 OS version.
The problem described above is still here and what I did, is that, using Facebook's page, I went to Facebook settings -> Notifications and I disabled most of them..
And let's hope they 'll fix the bug

Still a bug in 10.3, anyone any suggestions? Nemory's FB app seems to be dead. Frustrating that I can't use Messenger without also getting countless notifications in the hub?
