Well, I was hoping that the new would have fixed the Uber app incompatibility issue. No dice. Apparently the Android runtime still does not have Google Maps 2.0 compatibility.

So, i was wondering if there way anyone who could help in the meantime.

Question: is there a simple way to turn the m.uber.com HTML5 website into an "app" that is self contained. meaning - not a bookmark browser site. I see developers doing this all the time with the Maps applications. Where, what they are doing is really putting a shell around the web app site.

    Could anyone help here?

Uber works, but it needs to be patched. Also you need to install a patched Google Play services. I'd have patched it and then uploaded it with the patched Google Play services, but i won't be with my PC for a while.
So go to this thread for more details, you can even request for it to be patched if you can't figure it out yourself. How to fix any Android app dependent on Google Maps API and make maps working
