Here's A thread idea I have, a one stop thread for all the apps that have added the "headless" mode. Would be nice to have them all in one place.
Users Can Share The Ones They Find, And Developers Can Come Here To Announce HeadLess Support Added To Their App
UPDATE: BlackBerry is now only allowing those with OS 10.2.1 to download and use headless features of apps. This thread will stay updated as apps show themselves though, with or without official 10.2.1 seeing that leaks go around the forums so KEEP POSTED

6TH. Wallpaper Changer v2.0
*** Now Headless for OS10.2 **** Completely rewritten for OS10.2 to support Headless Mode. See the new screen shots. Wallpaper Changer is a native BlackBerry 10 application to automate wall paper changing on the HomeScreen. Unlike other wall paper applications Wallpaper Changer does it automatically and do not require you to manually select a picture to set as the wall paper. You select the timer from 1min to 6hours to change wall papers. Select the folder where you keep all your pictures. You can easily create a new folder and put only pictures that you want for the wallpapers there. Select how to rotate wall papers randomly or sequentially (in alphabetical order). Simple as that.
Features ---------- Version 2.0 -------------
* Completely written for OS10.2 * Headless support * New Random or Sequential Mode. * More options on change type eg: Timer, Daily, Weekends or Weekly * Option to set a password lock screen wallpaper * Smallest Wallpaper application ever at only 81k
Amazing idea I was actually thinking we should have a central place to list all headless apps that made the jump great thread can't wait for it to grow
On installing they actually ask the user for background permissions. I really like that, gives me the option to allow on an app-to-app basis.
In case of FlipShush, it works instantly, and does not seem to use much (if any) cpu/battery! If you enable Hub-notification you can even test the current status. You can even change the angle at which it starts working.

I thought headless could only respond to sms or something to wake it up and start acting. How does this app get triggered to wake up by flipping it over?

The trigger for flip shush is from the gyroscope I believe. When it's at a certain angle it reacts. (just guessing)
That would make sense, it is the only in-app trigger option you can change. Also, don't put the phone face-down in your pocket or it may trigger when sitting down. :')

No wonder I had a load of missed calls and texts and I never heard my phone ring or any notification sounds lol
