    I made another thread saying Google Play but I was mistaken. I am talking about Google hangouts. I successfully downloaded the hangouts apk but when I open it, it closes immediately

    I believe you require Google Play Services to have Hangouts operational - which I to date have not been successful with.

    Any google app that depends on google service framework won't work
    Some like google maps will work, BUT, login services don't work
