Just wanted to share that GoodPlayer - both free and pro - is now available in BlackBerry World. Using the Pro version on my BlackBerry Passport and it is working really well. So far streamed close to 5 GB playing videos stores on NAS in LAN.

Please check again, or use the following 2 links.
The 4.17 version is just updated. The older version supports only Passport. The new version will support all the Blackberry models that OS is 10.2.1 or later.

The developer just released a new version which should be compatible with all BlackBerry 10 models, for OS 10.2.1 or later. The developer is new to the BlackBerry World, and in my discussion with him I suggested that he should look at BlackBerry world option as they are accepting APK file. Kudos to the developer to create account and submit the file. There were initially a few versions that had issues, but the final one released yesterday works, but only for Passport. Todays update should bring it to all.

    Developer contact detial: [email protected]

    GoodPlayer - BlackBerry World

    GoodPlayer Pro - BlackBerry World

EDIT: Just saw that the developer is now on this forum. Welcome and happy to see him supporting the BlackBerry app store.

Now I am working with another android app developer and see if they can also bring their app into BlakcBerry World
Sad Hero and hustmobile like this.

So far I've tried VLC beta player, MX player and now good.

VLC and good doesn't stay closed and pops up in task manager from time to time which I find annoying.

MX player automatically detects video files in both sd and device very well.

VLC takes a bit more time to do so but it does the job fine.

Good has some problems with this.

Volume for MKV files on MX player is a little low.

    MX player has annoying ads.

Will report back with more findings.

I find VLC's attempt to read every media file on your phone when it starts up to be annoying.

Seems nice and smooth but doesn't really offer anything above MX Player or KalemSoft Player. I had high hopes that I could at least set it as my default media player but no dice. What is it with BB10 and not allowing me to default to anything besides the native video player?

The free GoodPlayer is ad-supported. And the paid GoodPlayer Pro is ad-free version. Besides that, the features are the same. Please check the free version first to make sure it works for your device before you buy the paid version. Thanks portal for showing us to the BlackBerry world.

I am using BlackBerry Passport and have no issues running the application. Also ran on a the Z30 as well, and had no issue. Could it that you are running a leak OS?
