Okay - all of this is good but I don't want a Google Reader. I want a reader where I choose my own feeds - want nothing to do with Google. Any advice for this?

Do you mean text like "x mins ago"? not sure the abbreviation is specific to asia but yes its configurable and even translations can override the text

I wish that Social Feeds and BlackBerry News were ported over to BlackBerry 10, I'm missing them already on my Z10.
Does anyone know why BBnews wasn't ported over? I'll be looking for non google readers I guess when I get my new phone.

This app is great for a pure Google readwr. I'm really liking flip board though. Once I spend the time to customize it. Might end up being my favorite app

Update for Daily. The News Reader BlackBerry World - Daily. The News Reader is waiting for review from BlackBerry and should be available soon. Because of quite big interest in our Google Reader Client, we decided to extend time of promotion for Daily. The News Reader (0.99$)

Upcomming update will include following features:
    -new fresh application icon
    -share option added
    -browsing articles from Article's View
-ui optimizations (more clear interface, less buttons)
-user interface optimized for multiple resolutions

Dev is aware of the issue with the last updated. They're working on a fix.

I wish it was available in app world so i didnt have to feel guilty about it but this app is so good if you like to read from different news sources. you have to try it. it can even keep you posted on your facebook and twitter accounts etc....ive had it for 2 days and i still don't feel like im done exploring its potential.

I agree, XPRSS was a great newsreader. I have 2G service often when I travel, usually on ships, and XPRESS worked well with that service. I hope they develop for BB10. I am currently using News Spot. It at least lets you read the article from withing the application and doesn't force you to go to the browser. It unfortunately won't let you read in landscape mode or change the font which makes it harder for me to read. It does work though.

Can you read it in landscape mode? Does it require the use of a google account?
