    Name: Food Diary

Description: The food diary is one valuable therapeutic tool. Make use of a food diary in order to realize if you eat too much, or even if you do it casually, it is not the only function of this tool. It is not just a notebook to keep an eye on what you eat! On the other hand, most of you would not have needed if used in this key, as you know very well what you eat! It is a very flexible methodology from the canvas. In fact, the therapist may ask you to add or delete some items depending on the purpose you want to achieve or information you want to infer the behavior of the patient. Generally, the diary is not used during the whole therapy, but in the early stages, so that the therapist could make the gathering of information and the patient may be aware of any problems or difficulties implied. Anyway, if compiled with honesty and accuracy, the food diary is also a powerful tool for self- help, because allows those who use it on their own, self- monitorarsi and also discover some hidden information. The error that you can do is assume to know this information already, and then set aside the diary even before they have understood the potentials. It should be noted, however, that is NOT a substitute therapist.

If you would add a field to insert ailments, such as migraines, high sugar, low sugar, allergic reactions, etc-- this would become a very useful medical aid in allowing one to track triggers.
Additionally basic exercise notations would be helpful.

I agree 100% with adding fields to input how you feel after eating certain foods for allergic reactions or whatever. Part of the reason I started keeping track of what I eat and how I feel is because of my IBS, which can be triggered by certain foods, as well as stress. So it's really frustrating trying to figure out which is causing flair-ups and having something I can track and see patterns with over time would really help.
