    Hi all,

I just read in the news that someone could be taken to court for note giving his smartphone password to the border control. Is there any app giving access to an almost empty phone with a fake password ? Or hiding part of content depending on the used password ?

    They are not that stupid.
If the content you have you have deem an issue, you may want to remove it prior to traveling. You can swap you media card, you can also delete any email account(s) but you need to show a good 'legit' active account and you may also consider your social media content as relevant as well.

Do not travel to states that criminalize their citizens such as the US or the UK.
    Problem solved.

There are third party apps that can hide files and folders. But as suggested if THEY want access to the phone and its contents, then they can probably find everything eventually. If it's only for a cursory search then those apps might secure/hide stuff.

As suggested you may want to delete any very private, very secure info from the phone in advance of a trip to any country.

Could they also ask for the master password to your Password Holding app?

I can see more court cases coming to a courthouse near each of us...................
