The app opens but msgs and notifications doesn't always open. A lot of times I get an error and say "tap to retry"

Sometimes the notifications and msgs just clock and never open.

I am just put a link on my homescreen for the browser.

I recently went back to the browser based client (losing my hub functionality) because my reply to personal messages were not getting sent (and I was getting in trouble with someone ) . Also there is that issue of being unable to share certain posts if the link doesn't appear a certain way. Really hoping someone fixes these, I like the hub functionality.

Ikr. By the way, people are telling me that the fb app is actually made by blackberry or some other developer, and not actually by Facebook itself.

Wish you would give reasons why you think it sucks, I use Facebook on my Z10 and it works just fine, I use it on my Playbook and Ipad Mini and I could not really complain about them, well the Ipad mini would be better if it used gestures like the Blackberry Playbook but they do their job.
I think it's awful on the playbook...it's the only website that gives me the most checkerboarding... things tend to overlap each other and typing on anything usually has a 3-4 second delay... i only use it when i want to share something from someone else since the app doesn't let you do that.

I may be misunderstanding the issue, but you don't really need a share button on the Facebook app. You open whatever you want in the app and it should open in your browser. Once the link is on your browser, you share it to Facebook from there. For pictures, you simply hold the picture and the save tab will come up. You save the picture, and then go into you picture file and share it to Facebook from there.

Facebook has mostly every feature now. I can speak for most people and tell you that they don't share the same problem that you have. Maybe try to delete it and re-install it then reboot.
If you don't like it there are a lot of different Facebook apps on Android you can side load and just use the hide black bar Android Runtime.

If this is a response to the OP, then you probably should know that the app isn't made by FB but by BlackBerry.

I also can't tell Mark how much I think that FB sucks, because I have no personal profile anymore.

As for enterprises using FB to promote their products, when used as a marketing tool, it actually is a viable and necessary option these days.

Really? You speak for most people? I doubt it. There are still many problems with the app that doesn't happen with the browser...the browser is a bit slower, but far more effective.

I will have to disagree. The iOS app is way cooler and efficient.

The little floating message bubbles that pop up when someone PM's you are pretty rad.

This is the main reason I use the browser for Facebook. Messages are not always getting sent via hub too.
Also I don't like (with the app) that you can't choose to have the feed sorted buy date instead of "top story".

Yeah, the FB app comes from BlackBerry. Why does it come from BlackBerry? Because Facebook doesn't give a **** about making a proper one for them, so BBRY has to develop a copy of the real deal of a foreign service themselves. Naturally, this doesn't work out. So as I said: complaints should be directed to Zuckerberg or all consumers who don't buy BBRYs which would help convincing Zuckerberg to offer an official app himself.

And multiple-accounts capability, many have been, and are, requesting this as it is much needed. Also, copy/past capabilities.

I think Facebook has come a long way and is quite good now. When you add chat notifications and hub integration and sharing it is better than other platforms. The only feature I need that it is missing is delete post / edit visibility - after you have posted. For some reason this still hasn't been implemented. Thus if you make a mistake or change your mind you have to use another client such as the browser or sideload the Android version.
