Some of the BlackBerry 10 users say that their Facebook app still works perfect. The calendar is still synchronized. So my doubt is if I don't delete whatsapp after December this year, will it work?

Whatsapp has indicated that it won't.
But we really won't know until December comes and goes.
Plan for the worst and hope for the best.....
Let us pay for WhatsApp. Let us all pay 1 or 2 Dollars a year to keep the support for OS 10 alive. Why not? We are spending much money for things less worth. But WhatsApp became Part of our everyday life. That's the fact.

Except you get someone to work at blackberry and continue development of the OS, your money no matter how big the amount won't make a difference. It's a 2-way thing. When Whatsapp updates the app for BB10, someone have to be at blackberry to make sure the OS supports the update and afaik, blackberry has virtually sacked everybody at BB10. Some even resigned.
