    Hi,
Did anyone receive this email from Skype team indicating that "in few weeks", Skype will delete its application running on android 2.2?
That means that, except for those who are using leaks of 10.3, Skype will be totally unavailable until the official release of the BB10 OS update?
    Is this information correct?
Do we have any alternative solution?

As of 10.2 the BB10 Android Runtime was updated to Android 4.2.2. (10.3 further updates it to 4.3.)

    So your safe!
If you run into a problem because you somehow have an older version of Skype installed, delete the Skype app and re-download it again from BlackBerry World.

    Ditto!
I'm really not a big fan of the BB10 (Android) Skype app. So many elements are in counter-intuitive places IMO.

Plus for some reason if I try to use either Bluetooth or headset on a group Skype call, it cuts out and nobody can hear me for rest of the call even though I hear them.

OK, thanks. Strange because the message stated that I was using Skype on an Android device running 2.2.
I thought this was my Z10.
Maybe an old phone where I installed Skype but I'm not using it for years...
Anyways, thank for your time and I really wish they made a native app as well...

Thread title changed to avoid creating any false rumours that Skype is dropping BB10 support.

Could be. Are you running Skype from BlackBerry World or an Android version directly from Snap or another Android store?

It could very well be that the version in BB World is for Android 2.2 since the newer Runtime is backwards-compatible. It would make sense, so they'd have the same version available to anyone still on 10.1.
IF that's the case, and it might not be, I hope someone from Skype thinks to update the app in BB World!

BB 10.1 has an Android Runtime compatible with Android 2.3.3 (2 generations above Android 2.2).

My guess is that this explanation is the right one:

I'm using Skype from BBWorld. The phone that I'm taking about is an HTC Hero and remains in his box for now 3 years... I'm not even sure I have Skype installed on it. I will check if it's the case if the phone is still working
