Is there any way to disconnect from a CB thread I had previously participated in? I know I can Unsubscribe from threads that I have previously subscribed to, but what if I participate in a thread? Can I somehow stop the tie to that thread? The reason is some threads seem to drag forever beyond my interest and I want to stop getting the annoying New Post notifications on it. Appreciate any feedback.

Just in case there is currently no way to do this, this might be a good feature to have in the next CB app update!

Maybe by asking a particular thread's moderator to delete your post(s) in that thread? Doing so could affect your total post count & member status at CB, though, if that matters to you.

There's a running thread for future CB10 requests here too; it might be worth adding your request:

I can also go into settings and disable the notifications where it shows forums.

My understanding of the OP's request was that he wants to actually remove specific threads from the generated list when he clicks "Participated". I'm not sure it was only about notifications. Correct me if I misunderstood, of course. :-)

I can also go into settings and disable the notifications where it shows forums.

Thanks for the replies so far. Just to clarify, I don't want all notifications to stop, just only the ones related to a specific thread. I still want to be able to receive notifications if there are any new posts for the other threads I have participated in.

I don't think it's possible to turn off notifications by thread. But you should ask for this feature in the next CB10 update. I included a link to the feature request in my first reply.

You have subscribed to a thread and want to stop the subscription? and notifications?
Here is a guide I wrote:

This will help you to do that.

In the CB app, you cannot remove threads from the Participated List.

What about removing myself from the "PARTICIPATED" threads on the CB website?

Thanks Jaydee, but can a similar thing be done for a PARTICIPATED thread? On the Three Dots menu in the CB app, it provides options for Subscribing to or Unsubscribing from a thread, but no such option is provided for the Participated threads. Getting notifications for new posts on a thread that gets hundreds of posts is really annoying. It makes me think twice before participating!

+1 on this feature request on CB10 , for the exact same reason. Like this thread.

Okay mods, lock it now so we don't keep getting updates.

    Over (but unfortunately not OUT)

Interesting on my Q10 and Z30 I have the Participated section which I like, but I've NEVER received a single notification from CB10 about new posts in threads I've posted in. I open CB10 and it chimes and tells me if a new CB Article has been posted to the main App page, but never a notification with the app opened or closed with respect to threads?

It's not that much for the notification for me. The thing is though, on the CB10 app, in the participated section threads are sorted by THE last message in that thread vs on the website, it's by YOUR last message in that thread.

So, for example, I'd like to "unparticipate" from all the Leaks threads as it takes most of the top on my participated section on my Q10

Per one of the suggestions made in another thread, I used the option to Subscribe to a Participated thread, and then Unsubscribed. It didn't work, I still get the notification when there is a new post in that thread. So, it looks like when you Participate in a thread, you will be hearing about it for the life of that thread! That gets really annoying for the threads that get hundreds of posts (forget those that get into the thousands)!

I agree with everyone. I have search for a way to clean out my Participated threads but none exist. I almost have to think twice about which thread I post in. If I want to start a long term commitment or not. I'd much rather hit it and quit it
