Are you talking about the built in feature in BB10, or a third party app?

Built in, just hold the period for a few seconds any time the keyboard comes up and dictation pops up, you say what you want to type and press done

I tried it, it works great. One problem though, it doesn't use any periods or commas. Which makes it ok for messaging, but not very good for documents or emails. Is there a way to turn on periods and commas? Or do you have to say something where you want a period, like 'stop' or 'period' or something like that?

I find it works well except it does not recognize Z words well, including Z10 ironically. Perhaps it is my thick Canadian accent.

I think if you say full stop or period it will add punctuation.

You have to say the punctuations.

I have not been able to figure out special characters, punctuation or new line, but in regards to voice to text recognition, I was pleasantly surprised at how well or works. Maybe that other stuff will come with an update.

But it is much easier to use than on the s3, where I have to do some swipe motion and then select voice and then I could start, whereas with this I can just hold down the button and good to go

Completely agree. For quick bbms and texts, I find it to be about 99% accurate.

For longer bits of text, I find it is quicker to just tap in a couple of quick edits for commas, periods etc.
