I love how BlackBerry has integrated a lot of apps into BB10, almost eliminating the need for third party apps. A data monitor NEEDS to be included in the 10.2.1! I also recommend the above app however

I use Data usage counter and it works great. It needs to be opened everytime you reset/turn off your phone, but after that you can close it.

Hi 123nat,

It is recommended to keep the app open. The data usage counted will be accurate even after the app is closed and reopened but notifications when crossing thresholds will not work when the app is closed.

The app also includes monitors for minutes and SMS and for these to work properly the app must remain open.

We are working on a true headless version once OS 10.2.1 is available however. Hope this helps.
