WOW, what a long road it's been to get to this point!

If you've been following along my preview thread, and also the BETA release thread, you already know that I have originally submitted this to BlackBerry World the middle of October, but it was rejected.

Anyway, like Adam said, "after some back and forth and a bit of dark magic", I'm happy to announce that FINALLY, Chive On is now available to download in BlackBerry World!

No change log for the initial release, but you should grab it from BB world as I will most likely "break" the beta lol

I was hoping downloading the BlackBerry World release would fix a couple things; currently I'm using the Android version because of them: random photos not loading. It's usually the 6th, 7th, or 8th in the series and backing out/opening again corrects it most of the time; other times I'll just get a big green "C" and nothing loads. Other times it won't load because it's a stuck gif, but not all have that issue.

There's one feature I'd like added - the ability to tap a "Download" button at the bottom and have items go directly to a designated folder; currently the process is to tap More, then Save, navigate to a folder, possibly rename, then save.

Nitpicking aside, it's a nifty app. KCCO!

Is the app only available for certain regions? It says that it is not available for my device. Z10 STL100-1, official 10.2.1.1925, Etisalat UAE.
I saw that you mentioned that you're going to 'break' the beta app! If that is the case, please make the app available for all regions

Turns out it was restricted for some countries, which I don't recall setting..

I just put in a change request for all countries, but BB has to approve it. I will let you know once it is approved.

The issue with the gifs could be causing this too, which will be fixed in the next update... did you notice if there were any gifs in the same gallery that some images didn't load for?

Here's one from yesterday's cat Saturday gallery. The other gifs loaded and showed properly, but number 13 of 32 didn't. What's interesting is that the gift did load and show properly when previewing the entire gallery (as shown below: left-most image of fourth row).





But when tapped on, it didn't play.

Just checked on mine and that one gif is indeed not playing, but the other 2 in the gallery are... strange..

Now that you say that, yes. Every gallery that has a gif has a photo that won't load, and neither will one or more the gif. If the gif(s) load there's no problem.

Same on mine, the gifs in the overview all play, but sometimes won't play when viewing.

Not available for my device either. I suggest you keep the ad version as a free download to sideload.
