It used to work fine, I have downloaded from my subscriptions before and no issue. Now I cannot download from those very same channels. It tries then just spits back Error with no other info.

But strangely enough the very same episodes can be streamed without issue. Also, if I check the info for that stream or episode (by sharing) and then copy the link into the browser, I can listen or download the MP3, so bPod clearly has access to the correct link.

Anyone know what the issue might be?

Can you stream anything at all? If so, your regular sites just changed the codec they're using.

I have the same issue. I think it has to do with podcasts going to https. I played around with it a while back, but it seems that if I tried to put in the http address, it seemed to get redirected to https, which I believe bpod doesn't support.

Not all podcasts are affected, but it seems bit by bit they are all transitioning to https. 60 minutes and CBS Evening News stopped downloading a month ago, so now I have to stream them too.

I had installed the Let's Encrypt certs and subsequently upgraded to OS 10.3.3

I WFH, so I just live with streaming my podcasts. I like how bPod works that I haven't bothered trying to listen to podcasts on my Key2 LE. I would switch to using my Key2 LE if the developer ported bPod to Android. I would even be willing to pay $5 for it (same if an update would get released for BB10).

Seems to me that you are correct in that the url needs to be updated. Can you not manually do this in bPod? Not sure as I don't use it.

He actually did create an Android app called Metapod. I bought it, but it seems that it's no longer available on Google play.

Antennapod (at F-Droid and Google Play) is great on Android. I still like Podtrapper (which was originally a BBOS app) too, but I'm not sure if you'd be able to access the menu on modern versions of Android. If you click the purchase button at that link, you get a free code.

As for the problem with bPod, it's definitely the https issue.

I still have Metapod. While I see it as installed in Google Play, you're right that I can't search for it separately. There is another app called Metapod that I see, but it's something totally different.

Yes I can see it's an https link when I try to share the episodes. But I can stream it within bPod! That's the mystery!
Plus it changed to https a long time ago and it was working...
