    The app extensively uses low level API that extremely hardware dependent. I don't have STL100-1 at this moment, therefore I cannot check if it works on that variant (totally different chip). If you wish to check it, please, PM me

    Camera++

    But I wonder whether it is a native app or an android port. I don't mind paying for apps and I've been looking for a more professional oriented camera app for a long time, I just want to make sure it will work flawlessly

    Also I wonder whether it allows you to change the shutter speed. Not sure if that's technically possible on BlackBerry phones, but wpuld be very useful.

    Since I was a beta tester I can reply to your question. It's of course native app (this developer has only native apps). Shutter speed is not controllable due to current API limitations (that was one of my first requests as well, and developer replied with above explanation). The most used for me is manual focus, absolutely fabulous when lighting conditions are not good enough and camera cannot focus automatically. Also in many situations I use EV offset to lighten image. Night photography with increased ISO also may be useful in some cases, the only drawback at this moment is high level of noise (but developer works on making night photos better).

    Unfortunately the camera sensor and hardware is not pro so I wonder how much a software can compensate that.

    Symbian is still and always my favourite Os. Nokia 808. FilePLAY Music Player

    The software can only partially compensate for non-professional hardware. But I hope no one expects to have a 2$ app turning a 300$ smartphone into a 3000$ pro-camera

    as bb10_fan already posted, shutter speed cannot be controlled with current API, but BlackBerry promises to introduce this feature in the future. Currently shutter speed is adjusted automatically based on selected ISO and exposure.

    I'd love to see metering options instead of being stuck in evaluative all of the time. Give me partial, center weighted, and spot metering and I'll buy in a heartbeat

    Current API (or maybe hardware) doesn't support multiple regions for metering

    As a general note, it seems Z10 STL100-1 doesn't support most features this app was designed for, namely list of available ISO values that can be set manually is too restricted, manual white balance is apparently partially supported starting from 10.3, EV offsets are weird. It may still be useful if you need timer or timer with in between shots delay or manual focusing ability, other than above mentioned, looks like Z10 STL100-1 users won't gain much from this app at the moment. Sorry for that. Later updates will definitely add more useful functionality to app also for Z10 STL100-1 users

    Updated version that supports all devices was submitted to BlackBerry World. In this update the missing "Silent Mode" was re-introduced. The first post was also updated with more screenshots

    If I understood correctly the app was just submitted to BlackBerry World. It will take some time to pass QA.
