I have had this trouble ever since changing my desktop. I cannot see anything in the history about problems of this sort. When I download the BB Link it won't unzip. This is the message I get:

This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package.

I wonder if it is because my desktop is 64 bit now.?
This is very frustrating as I cannot use my phone to its fullest potential. Can anyone help?

It works just fine on windows 64bit machines. The installer packages with Link are quite finicky. You may want to dump your temp files in /appdata/local/research in motion and then try again. And, it could be a corrupt download.

I periodically have to "cleanse" my windows 7 machine of all things BlackBerry when upgrading Link. In fact, I did a complete registry purge of BlackBerry before upgrading to the most recent BlackBerry Link. Also, uninstalled all my device drivers etc... to start fresh.
