Hello friends. I currently reside in Nigeria. The BlackBerry maps app here does not have proper navigation features. Missing roads, unable to get route etc. Google maps has every street named a d I can get from place to place (on my previous phone) is there any better map for BlackBerry?

If you like Google maps then check out "Be Maps 10". It uses Google maps as I understand. Keep in mind it requires a data connection to function.

You can also check out NavFree. It downloads offline maps but you'd have to check out if th County you require is available on there. The app does have different search options including using google to search for an address by place name, etc.. but that feature will require Data.

One thing I noticed (others can chime in if have comments/thoughts), NAV free seems to drain the battery life even when the app isnt running.

I've turned OFF "run when minimized" permission for the app and still noticed it to drain battery. not sure why, but after I've removed it battery life returned to normal.
