    Longest. Beta. Ever.

Considering how many developers have had serious issues getting headless notification apps working reliably on BB10, if I were you I would be grateful he is doing plenty of testing.

Gonna download the newest beta when I get home. Thanks a lot! Anyway, care to change the OP with the updated change log of the latest beta? So people who follow the thread will know.

This is the longest beta ever. I don't think it will ever come to us. I'm disappointed I bought it when the beta started. I didn't think it would take this long to test.

Because BB has a pretty small limit on the memory allotted to headless apps (either 3 or 5 MB) which makes it difficult to have the app run without hitting the memory limit. When it does, it gets shut down and you don't know it. So if BeBuzz is just handling LED flashes, it's ok, but you add in other functions like vibrate, audible alerts, and changing what alerts you get based on the device's native sound profile setting, each with a separate api (I think), it becomes tricky to avoid exceeding the memory limit. Pfluger may not be the most verbose developer, but his products are good and I'm confident he's working hard on this, as evinced by his most recent post above.

Well I agree his products are Pretty decent. But I think the other headless led apps have the same features and are out as well. Pfluger isn't known for fast app updates or customer support lol. Do a search there's a ton of bad stuff on "be" products and customer support. Especially legacy devices.

If the beta testing experience here were a measure, you'd think the developer of the other app started working on the headless feature before or just when BB announced OS10.

BeBuzz still runs stable. The other beta versions don't work so long without restart.
So I think this version is ready for release.

I certainly hope so. I reverted from the Beta back to the stock release because of the unintended closing issue, but really miss several options in the beta, like different functions based on the native notification selection, etc.

Another update is online. Version 2.0.71 adds 30 more LED patterns.

If no major issues arise this will be the version that gets released to the public.

Yeah, and in the case of Hub++, I keep seeing in their thread that they are still having issues with it. I would rather it take longer in beta and get it stable than have it released and be a pain in the @ss closing all the time.
