Hello, I would like to know if it is possible to control the Spotify app with any of the BB10 Pebble Watch apps? Help with this would be much appreciated.

I don't use Spotify - but Talk2Watch can control all music players which internally use the BlackBerry mediaplayer (even some Android apps do that). If it doesn't work with Spotify, then there is no way of getting it running.

It works with Soundcloud so it should definitely work with Spotify. I'll give it a try if I'm able to

Im assuming it won't because you cannot use the Play/Pause button on the side of the device like when listening to music on the default player.

It's like the device doesn't recognize that it's playing music it just thinks some audio is playing from some source.

Running 10.3.1.1016 it is possible. Running Spotify and T2W you can control play/pause, next track, back track.
