I've got some bars somewhere - I'll look around. Oh, do you have the native Weather bar? Notice it's not on your list. I've got it extracted from the OS.

Excellent! But don't worry about system apps. I can add a link to the whole kit and caboodle.

Hmnn thought I had more. All I can find (in native and webworks) are Penzus Screen Recorder, Scan to Text, TuneIn Radio (still works, for me), WinAmp and 2 useless bars now in Sachesi and SideSwype. The Penzus and Scan to Text are probably the most useful.

PM me a link so I can grab them and add them to the library.

Depends on what you mean by permanent. But I'm in no rush to delete it.

Good evening everyone, I own a Blackberry z30 and I would like to save some installed Blackberry world apps in order to keep them on the PC, for when they close the service.
Who can tell me the procedure?
    Thanks a lot.

You have 3 methods for installing native apps (.bar files). All 3 methods require a PC:

    1. a program called DBBT installed on your PC
    2. a program called Sachesi installed on your PC
    3. an extension on the Chrome browser called BB10/Playbook app installer

You can find further instructions for these methods if you do a search here on CB Forums but in general you download the .bar file (app), plug your BB10 device into your PC and then open one of the above programs/extensions, put your device password in and drag and drop the app into the install window. Just takes a few minutes once you have everything in place. Hope this helps and good luck!

The problem is, the only way to restore an app backup is to have an active BBID that matches the BBID encoded in the backup.

However, once the BlackBerry infrastructure is shut down, you will no longer have an active BBID.

So all we can truly rely on is that developers will release their bar files for inclusion in the archive.

Conite is there a way I can draw the BLAQ Bar file out of my Classic that has it loaded and to put into my passport? It is not fully functional on my classic but the feed is unique and posts populate just fine for a quick scroll. Surprised there is no link anywhere to get this sucker back. Bird 10 is okay but needs more work it seems. What will we do in 2022?

Get a new iOS or android device in all probability, then your Twitter will work well.

You can't extract a bar file from a device.

Although you can selectively backup an app with Link and restore it to the other device - provided the receiving device has the same or newer OS and uses the same BBID.

I just found a bar file for Kaktus. It's mentioned in the apps thread: it's an RSS reader that once worked with netvibes, the old reader, and tiny tiny rss. It has seen development within the past year. Perhaps someone with one of the rss feeds listed above can confirm whether it still works or not.

Here's another one: Hg10 -- It was a hangouts/xmpp app. I don't know if hangouts works any longer, but I suspect you could get it working with XMPP still. As I recall, entering your server information, username and password is completely confusing, but you stumble across the right menu eventually.

Here are a bunch more from Github. I'm fairly certain they're all native apps:

    Cache-tube: a youtube video downloader.

    Github Repo: https://github.com/BerryTrucks/cachetube-bb10

    Bar file: https://github.com/BerryTrucks/cache...eTube-1.24.bar

I tried to post them in one post, but they got intercepted, probably because there are too many links.
