Beginning November 12, 2018, Box mobile apps will no longer be supported on BlackBerry10 and BlackBerry Playbook.

Beginning on this date users will no longer be able to log into or use their Box mobile app on BlackBerry10 or BlackBerry Playbook.

Following the EOL date users will still be able to access Box through web browsers on their BlackBerry10 and BB Playbook devices.

NavFree Google search has stopped working for me. I guess that'll never get fixed. That's a shame as it is a great app

That is very unfortunate. Hopefully they will keep using their web framework which has been compatible. Thanks I had no idea.

What's the advantage over the built-in torch swiping down from quick settings?

Thanks for the update. I've been meaning to close down my Box account, and this will give me some urgency.

you can set any buttons to turn on the torch [mine was holding down the mute button]. its headless so you only have to run it once to set it up... its pretty convenient.

You can map it o your volume buttons so you can turn it in on, on the fly. It's extremely handy indeed

It's faster and optimized for smartphone.

I'm not arguing with you, but I've never noticed a problem with YouTube in the native browser. It doesn't seem slow to me. Would you mind please explaining the benefits of the "optimization" so I can better understand? I'm genuinely interested.

If you have KEYone and go to the YouTube and compared the speed. It's at least few seconds faster than native browser. Few seconds sound doesn't mean anything but time is money!

But the download speeds on the KEYone is MUCH faster than any BB10 phone, so it's not a fair comparison, is it?

If both phones are on the same wifi, it should be fair.

I'm skeptical. Comparing the processor or the GPU of my Z10 with my KEYone seems like an unfair test.

The only viable test would be comparing the app and browser on the same phone.

I used FastTube, which seemed to work just fine. It took longer to open than the browser, but then I didn't have to navigate to YouTube.

FastTube opened the video I searched for faster than the browser, but the video in the browser actually began playing slightly sooner.

The interface is better in the FastTube app vs. Using the browser-based controls.

My conclusion: for people who want to browse and play multiple shorter YouTube videos, the app would be better.

For me, who usually finds videos from a Google or Duck Duck Go search, the browser is better because I can search multiple video sites simultaneously. So the time from searching to watching the video is faster using the browser.

For me, SuperTube has absolutely nothing to do about speed and hugely about two things:
    1) Videos playing in the background
    2) HD videos

I agree that being able to play videos with the screen turned off or while multitasking is hugely useful. It's annoying that it's so difficult to do.
