For some reason I found my Task Manager shows this as an Android service running in the background all the time. I assumed it was one of my side-loads trying to connect to Google Play for some in-app upgrade.
I was not aware of any capable of this(and it should not work anyway), so I started looking in to which app was causing the issue.

Turns out it was Badoo, not even a side-load, not even logged on. It looks like a very popular app from the reviews, but something that is constantly trying to connect to pay-services without permission does not sound trustworthy to me. Just a heads-up.

Thanks for the heads up. Sounds like a battery killer too perhaps

I am not sure how often it would run/check (for battery load), but I know for sure that you can not 'exit' the app. It will just reload itself and this service in the background.
Some side-loads I have tried also stay in the background, but they never load 'additional' services, just the main app.
