Yep and this attitude is the reason blackberry will die regardless of whatever buyout etc happens.

If no one is supporting blackberry nobody will buy unfortunately.

Something you said earlier comes to mind: it's 2013, and folks are still wondering why apps are so important. Funny thing is, BBRY doesn't question it.

Just had a thought, Barclays are a "business " bank and Blackberry's are leaning more to business so I'm very hopeful Barclays will release an app. Even dreamt it was merely waiting release of 10.2 so fingers crossed they lying and Barclays app is on the way )

I've read somewhere on this forum Natwest are releasing their Mobile Banking APP next year. Don't know how reliable the source was but if true Pretty sure Barclays will follow suiy.

I mean BlackBerry aimed at "professionals" or "businesses" any Bank woukd be stupid to not have an app.

I'm thinking they all just waiting to see the future of BlackBerry e.g. after 4th November then decide?

    Just thought I'd share )

Thank you for your email dated 21/10/13.

We have to advise that the mobile app is not compatible with the BlackBerry 10 device at present and we apologise for the inconvenience that
    this may cause.

We understand that this will be available in the near future but are unable to provide you with timescales at this time.

There's no way to get OS 7 onto your Q10, don't think it's even possible to 'try' that but would ruin the phone if you did.

Natwest's mobile banking app sideloads via Snap as painlessly as you like and works just as flawlessly!
    Lloyds' app works too...
The Barclays Android app will install, but fails to work due to their tiringly feeble excuse that their app will not work on rooted devices for security reasons. (Which is simply laughable.) My Z10 is not rooted so I'm baffled by it all.

Think I might have to switch back to them and ditch Barclays...

I'm not a puritan that believes in doing things the long way, like logging onto the online banking site via a browser, I use my smartphone to make my day to day tasks easier, more streamlined, quicker.
I don't want to ditch my Z10 - it's by far the best mobile experience on the market at present (I've tried them all), but I will move my bank to keep alignment with my device of choice.

Update - I spoke with the Barclays support team this morning who told me that the BMB App for the BlackBerry 10 devices is in testing right now, although no date has been promised for general release.
I'm not holding my breath but it's looking promising!

Does HSBC not have an app for BB10?
It does for BB7 and 6.
Not exactly the worlds finest range of options, but for just checking your balance it works perfectly.

Edit: Whoops, just realised I was in the BB10 section.....error.

    What makes you say that?
Assuming you don't have your browser saving the entries you male, I would have said quite the opposite.
Depends of course on how good the app security is of course, but I think people just assume apps are secure. Bad assumption.
