    Hi everyone,

We would like to introduce a new app that we've built for BlackBerry 10 called AutoPlay Media Player. This is the BB10 version of our popular PlayBook app with a similar feature set (see crackberry PlayBook review)

    Link: https://appworld.blackberry.com/webs...ontent/130646/
    Price: $0.99

We would like to use this thread to engage with the BlackBerry community so that we can listen and respond to feedback.

    Feature Summary:

    AutoPlay mode:
Provides the ability to automatically play videos one after another. This is perfect for plugging in your smartphone into a HD TV and enjoy playback of a series of videos without the hassle of manually selecting the next one after a video finishes. This also great for presentations at work where you can plug-in your smartphone into a projector and play a series of related videos one after another.

Additionally, there are shuffle and a repeat single play modes that adds to the utility and convenience of the player.

    Auto-bookmarking:
It also incorporates an auto-bookmarking feature that allows you to keep track of where you left off in a video without clumsily needing to manually having to remember and fast-forwarding back to where you were. Better yet, when you close the app and then open it again, it will bring you back to exactly where you were -- perfect for resuming your movie exactly where you left off!

    Intuitive gestures:
Navigate through your videos with ease using intuitive gestures: double tap to toggle full-screen; swipe left for next video; swipe right for previous; quickly scroll through list of videos using a velocity sensitive flick gesture; single tap on viewing area to toggle play/pause

    Dynamic playlists:
It provides the ability to search through your files and create a dynamic playlist based on the results; for example, if you have 100 files, and you want to see only the ones with 'glee' in the title, enter 'glee' in the search box. The results will be filtered to only files matching 'glee' in the title and auto sorted so that successive files named 'glee' will be ordered. This makes it easy to dynamically generate a playlist and then autoplay a season worth of episodes in the expected sequence!

    Folder playlist:
Create a new playlist by selecting a sub-folder in your videos directory

    "My Favorites" Playlist:
A built-in "My favorites" playlist is provided that allows you the ability to quickly add videos to a customized list and play in continuous mode

    Wide variety of formats supported:
It uses the same codec as the BlackBerry 10 and can play the same rich set 1080p HD video formats including mp4, mov, f4v, avi, mkv, wmv, 3gp, 3g2, asf, and m4v (non-DRM). Because it uses the same codec, if the native video app does not play a video, AutoPlay will also not be able to play it.

    Sleep timer:
Turn-off AutoPlay at the interval of your choosing.

    And there's more:
-Delete video ability: Easily delete a video you no longer want to watch.

$0.99 US. For users who have purchased the PlayBook, this BB10 version is included in the purchase.

    Hi everyone,

We've just updated with SRT subtitle support. It's really easy to use: just have the .srt file as the same name as your video and in same directory. AutoPlay will detect it and render the text. There is an subtle outlining of the text so that it can be viewed well even in high contrast scenes.

    Attached is a screenshot :-)

    Hi everyone,

We've also added the ability to advance the video in 15 second intervals by pressing and holding on the prev/next buttons. Additionally, a trial version of the app is now available here.

Nice review. Continued good luck with the app. I guess I should string together a whole series of excellent timelapse videos for a mesmerizing hour or so.

I may be having trouble. Could be Mouse use. When I start playing a video, I do not get a PAUSE control. Only the Triangular Play control. So I could not pause the video playback. It showed up at first but then disappeared. It may have also had something to do with changing the orientation from Portrait to Landscape. I was using hdmi to my TV.
