I miss the app LittleBrother... it was a "zero power consuming" tracking solution by emacberry. It simply worked - the developer unfortunately isn't interested in bringing it to BB 10.

I would love to see a bb10 native version of AppOps or something just like it
(like how snap is pretty much a BB10 native Google Play Store)

    Posted via CB10
That would be too much effort for too little advantage. Since AppOps works only on 4.3, this would only do its work on 10.3. Since 10.3 is expected too launch in october/november at earliest, there is a good chance that the android runtime at this point already is on 4.4.2... So no use for a native app made with a lot of effort.

I know it works on Android with 4.4.2 (have some kind of AppOps app on my Nexus 4), but only with rooted access. Since the Android runtime does not count as rooted for android apps that need root access (like titanium backup for example), the solution would not work from 4.4 on...

What I really miss is having apps that work "headlessly"! Skype, viber, call blocker, Facebook messenger, etc. Etc. Non work headless. In actual fact, sometimes they don't work even when you are within the app!!

Make some business apps. Since this is a business/productive it phone. Either maker your own spin off of these apps or completely make your own from scratch.
    1. Quickoffice Google Drive (this is kind of like Blackberry Express but they don't seem to want to update it, one of my biggest pet peeves about Blackberry. Releasing half baked products!!!)

    2. Cloudmagic Save to Pocket and Evernote from your inbox with CloudMagic's Cards (they just had an amazing update)

    3. Evernote Apps https://evernote.com/products/ (they have a ton but the only benefit of having them if they synced natively with our native Evernote)

    4. A good Google Calendar app that has it's own UI with colours(people have been asking for colour Calendar apps) and that syncs perfectly with BB Calendar for push notifications)

    5. An Office App. https://play.google.com/store/search?q=office&c=apps Docs to Go is alright but you don't get the full experience of office (another half baked BB app)

    6. OneNote has an open API http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libr...ffice.15).aspx
    http://dev.onenote.com/
    https://github.com/OneNoteDev

    7. CRM app there is only 1 so far on BB10 that I know of
    http://www.junauza.com/2012/02/best-...r-android.html

    8. Note taking app
    - with location reminders, multiple reminders and sync with multiple clients like any.do, wunderlist, google keep, one note, evernote.
    - It needs to sync with calendar and remember with headless updates. quick notes in universal search.
    - Themes like a simple theme and then a google keep type theme.
If you need any input I have a bunch more note taking app ideas.

    9. Outlook client is needed for non web based Outlook users https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ebmobile&hl=en
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...bileaccesslite

    10. Wifi/Bluetooth printing app like Google Print or Air Print
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...nthand.premium

**NOTE: you can find APIs easily by typing in any app name in Google then writing GitHub or API after it.
Example: "PushBullet APIs" or "PushBullet GitHub"**

I'll list all of the top apps with no native or a not very good one in BB world. You should just make a poll on all the apps I listed. I'm not doing them in any particular order btw. I am going to leave IMs out but Tango and LINE both have 100+ million downloads while kik is 50+ mil. I am leaving them out because we need BBM to excel :P

*Note if you want to make an appealing app that doesn't have all the required APIs then reverse engineer it**

Downloads are based off of google play only. m= Millions, d = downloads.
    1. MyFitnessPal (10m d) MyFitnessPal Developer Portal | MyFitnessPal.com
    2. Tumblr (10m d) API | Tumblr
    3. Flickr https://www.flickr.com/services/api/
    4. Netflix with DLNA and Miracast Support (50m d) Netflix API - Welcome to the Netflix Developer Network
    5. Tinder (5m d) https://github.com/basecamp/campfire-api
    6. Pinterest (10m d) There is 1 app in BB world but there is a lot of complaints. While Google play has a bunch of different pinterest apps like Pin Hog https://developers.pinterest.com/
    7. Shazam (100m d) much better then soundhound, there is no competition. Shazam just finds "everything" Echoprint - Open source music identification
    8. Zedge Ringtones and Wallpapers (50m d) https://github.com/zedge
    9. rdio (10m d) http://www.rdio.com/developers/docs/web-playback/index/
    10. chromecast if somehow you can get through google services :P https://developers.google.com/cast/ (chrome or firefox would be huge but i don't think it's possible)
now I'm going to cut out with the downloads lol
    11. Linkedin pulse
    12. Spotify https://developer.spotify.com/technologies/web-api/
    13. Mint (not sure if it's possible)
    14. Zeebox https://develop.zeebox.com/
    15. Yelp / urban spoon with BB maps integration like foursquare API 2.0: Introduction | Yelp for Developers | Yelp
    16. Ubersocial from BBOS
    17. office app like king's office or quick office. Docs to go is a bit basic. Can't find any of those Office app APIs. But OneNote with same or better integration then evernote would be awesome or any other msoft office app for that matter
    18. An app like Easily.Do that syncs with: Remember, Calendar, Email and BB maps. We have no personal assistants and this is a productivity phone!! haha
    19. Snapseed with iGrann support
    20. Pushbullet https://www.pushbullet.com/api
    http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...pdates-937854/
    21. Quizup
    22. Seamless with foursquare/ BB maps support Seamless Delivers Food and an API | ProgrammableWeb
    23. Feedly (gnews isn't as good as everyone says it is :P) The feedly Cloud API
    24. Gate Guru with email and calendar support. https://github.com/GateGuru
    25. Photosynth with iGrann, Snap2Chat, BBM Channels and other social picture apps that come up support (iphone only)
    26. XBMC with DLNA/Miracast support https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc

**NOTE: you can find APIs easily by typing in any app name in Google then writing GitHub or API after it.
Example: "PushBullet APIs" or "PushBullet GitHub"**

I seriously have so many ideas about small and big projects that I would be good to talk to if you have a specific project in mind. Just PM me and I will gladly give you my email.

There problems I see devs having on BB10 is (constructive criticism):
    - too cluttered
    - UI is not as appealing to the android/iOS counter part
    - doesn't integrate with the OS enough
    - doesn't compare to an android/iOS equivalent feature wise

sadly I see this as part of BlackBerry's fault for not giving the proper APIs to devs to utilize some of their apps. With the 10.3 dev release I didn't really see any improvement except for better headless triggers.
