    I was wondering if it was possible to build an app, which when you click the icon powers the screen off or locks the phone. Would be willing to pay a decent price for an app like that.

    If any of you would be interested in an app like that post your interest, and who knows someone may build one.

    I'm not seeing anything in the developer documentation that seems like an API that will allow this.

    Could be. On Android similar apps get administrative privileges.

    BlackBerry isn't android. Not all APIs available for Android are available for BlackBerry.

    Sorry, I meant BlackBerry's manner of securing it's operating system might not allow it.

    If that is the case, that kind of app can only be made by BlackBerry.
