I don't think it's possible due to lack of APIs but I'm going to go for it anyways.
I'm surprised blackberry made the perfect phone for side by side apps and didn't even include it as a feature.
Now I'm asking the devs if there is a way to make an app to I can have 2 apps side by side on my passport?

It seems to be a work in progress -- I expect you'll see more becoming available.
very true it said the last update was march 10th so the dev is actively working on it which is awesome
DualSMS allows you to have two SMS conversations side-by-side. It's pretty handy when you're coordinating with two different people about one thing.

Yeah. I'm not sure I would pay for an app to communicate with only 2 people simultaneously anyway. Personally I would just add a second recipient (or many more) in an SMS, or even create a contacts group if I communicate with the same people often. I could also add or delete a contact on a whim easily if the group changes. And, I wouldn't be limited to only SMS. I could also use MMS or even any of the other sharing venues available natively on BB10.
